With regular parties at The Pickle Factory and a record label (Neighbourhood) responsible for tracks by Randomer, Ben Sims and Forest Drive West, Junction 2 debutant Tasha has got plenty on her techno plate. It’s as a DJ that she’s best known though, beginning as a drum and bass head who gained enough respect to be picked by Metalheadz’s Storm as a resident for her night, Feline. Gradually though, techno crept into her life and into her DJ sets, eventually converting her into a full-blown disciple.
She’s kept the tight technical skills that so often mark out the best jungle DJs, and she’s matched that with an intuitive ability to flow through techno of all stripes. It’s a skill that’s seen her become a regular visitor at clubs like Fabric, Griessmuehle and Tresor, where she demonstrates her status as a selector who bridges the gap between both the cutting edge and the storied history of the techno she loves.
